School Town has been a wonderful experience; it empowers students to organize their busy lives with helpful tools, such as calendars and to-do lists while it reinforces differentiated instruction through teacher-attached files, links, and suggested learning activities.

Students have class discussions that we'd normally have in class in School Town. Even the quite kids participate. Sometimes more than the big talkers in class. Then we expand the discussion to themes within the book and apply the lessons to the world with broader strokes.

Students like that they can put in their own schedule and figure out how much time they have to do specific assignments, chores, and activities. This style of planning does much to help the kids and teachers. The students are excited to be able to use School Town as part of their lives.

I can’t believe how easy it is to grade assignments, all of my students submitted their assignments on School Town in just a few days without any training. My experience with School Town has been very positive. My students love it! We focused on collaboration during the first days with Messages, Chat room and Discussion board.

Students send me and each other messages, mostly asking about homework assignments. They also used the Chat room to discuss homework assignments and how to use School Town. Students can see assigned homework and they can add personal plans they have onto their calendars.
